Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

In short: your workouts stay on your phone. Musclr has no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Only to check whether you have Musclr Pro does a subscription service receive an anonymous id and your purchase.

Who is responsible

Musclr is operated by Knapen Shops, a Dutch sole proprietorship (Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 95175997). Privacy questions and requests: support@musclr.app.

On your phone only

Everything you enter stays in a database on your phone: your workouts, routines, records, your answers in the first-run questions (such as your name, your goal, your height and weight), and your settings. We cannot see it. Your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google) may include it, according to your phone's settings. When you export your data, the file goes where you send it.

Purchases

Apple or Google handle every payment; we never see your payment details. To check whether you have Musclr Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous id that Musclr creates on your phone, and the details of your purchase (the product, price, currency, dates and the store). It does not receive your workouts or your name. RevenueCat is based in the United States; the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.

Notifications

The rest timer alert and the reminder before your free trial ends are scheduled on your phone itself. No server is involved.

This website

musclr.app runs on a server of DigitalOcean in Amsterdam and reaches you through Cloudflare. Both keep short technical logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site. The site uses no cookies and no analytics, and loads no fonts or scripts from other services.

Email and the contact form

When you email us or use the contact form, we receive your email address, your message, the topic you pick and, if you give it, your name. We use them only to answer you, and delete them at the latest two years after our last contact. Emails to support@musclr.app pass through Cloudflare's email routing to our inbox, which is hosted by Google. Messages from the contact form are delivered by Resend, an email service based in the United States; the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See the Resend privacy policy. To stop abuse of the form, the site counts how many messages come from one internet address in an hour; that count is not stored with your message and expires after the hour.

Legal basis

We process the purchase data to provide Musclr Pro (the contract with you), your messages to answer them (our legitimate interest, and yours), and the website logs and the message count for the security of the site (our legitimate interest).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we have about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, limit it, or get a copy. As your training data is only on your phone, you control it yourself: deleting the app deletes it. For purchase data, email us. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

No automated decisions

We make no automated decisions about you and build no profile of you. The plan in the app is built on your phone, from your own answers.

Children

Musclr is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app.
